"Wolves and Sheep Don't Mix" is Kari Fischer's debut and you will definitely look for more from this lady!
Clem Snow, former Navy SEAL, spent a career protecting his country. Now he's a cop and just wants to protect the peace of his small rural town and his snug semi-retirement. A deeply spiritual man, Clem prefers lending a sympathetic ear and a quiet word of counseling. But when the local predators go after the young ones and then start turning on each other... Well, Clem just might be the real wolf!
Readers will recognize the detailed, evocative picture of small town life but this author's characters run deceptively deep. Blood will be spilled raising ghosts of the past, and just maybe, redemption.

I started reading, and like most of the books I read, I found myself wanting to get through the setup, in hopes of enjoying the meat of the story. And before I knew what happened, I was hooked!
"Wolves and Sheep Don't Mix" paints the picture of a sleepy Florida town where things are about to get ugly. The hero, Clem Snow, is an ex Navy Seal who struggles with the choices he made in his past, but finds his place as the cop in a small town. Clem learns one of his friends has gone missing, and upon further investigation finds his dead body in a beat up pickup truck. And that's when the story really takes off!
The story starts slow, builds up momentum, and races to a finish leaving you fully satisfied!
Well done Kari Fischer!

Great story and character development....I just wanted more!
I really appreciated not reading 4 letter words anywhere!
Appealed to a person's 'good side' without being preachy

This book is wonderful! I love Clem to bits! but it was too short! Kari made me want Clem more and more, and the twist she had in the book was out of the blue! Thank you Kari for such a wonderful read! Please continue as I can't wait to see what Clem gets into next!
